Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls

Do you ever have the craving for something sweet and delicious but you don’t have the energy to bake? That is exactly when I make these little beauties. Not only are they yummy but they are oh so easy to make.
So what do you say we whip some up?
Peanut Butter Chocolate Balls:
4 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups creamy peanut better
1/4 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons milk
3 cups of your favorite chocolate chips (I prefer semi-sweet but the husband likes milk the best)
1 tablespoon shortening
Mix together butter, peanut butter and powdered sugar. Your mixture should look a bit crumbly/clumpy like this:

Add your milk a little bit at a time and blend until your mixture will hold together just barely when rolled into quarter sized balls. Place balls on a cooking sheet covered in wax paper and stick tray in fridge to cool.

While tray is cooling, mix your chocolate chips and shortening in a glass bowl and microwave at 30 second intervals mixing in between until chocolate is a smooth dipping consistency.
Dip all your balls in the chocolate. I use a fork so the excess chocolate can drain out the bottom. Place your dipped balls back on your cookie sheet to set.

Once all your balls are covered in chocolate stick them in the fridge to set. If you can’t resist eating one before they are hardened, just know they are not as good. Just you wait until they are all set!

Well, I guess all that’s left to do is eat your heart out!

Is there anything else you can use instead of the confectionary sugar? Thanks

I’ve never tried anything else, but anything that regularly substitutes for powder d sugar should work.. Is there such a thing?!
