Our Week in Pins and Photographs

My husband served a two year mission for our church in Budapest, Hungary and "sajt" aka: mozzerella sticks are a popular treat over there. On special occasions he will make them and they are a-m-a-zing, but I was really excited to see this easy, low calorie, bake-able option. I'll let you know how it goes!

Olive Garden is one of my absolute favorite places to go eat. The problem is, we don't get to eat out as often as we'd like, especially not at sit down restaurants. I love their salad and bread sticks and always stuff myself before the meal even comes, anyone else? I can't wait to try this copy cat recipe, especially since I have most the ingredients on hand.

My baby turned one this week! I cannot believe it. He lights up our life every day. We had a really low key birthday celebration at home with just our little family. We made all his favorite foods, played a ton, ate yummy chocolate cake, and opened lots of presents. We had never really given him anything sweet like cake before, and we were a little worried he would have a tummy ache. Instead, he got a crazy sugar high and was tearing around the house playing with his presents and laughing his head off at himself. It was totally hilarious. It was a perfect little birthday.

Other big news, we found out this Thursday that we are having a GIRL! Ah! Give me all your advice, I don't know what to do with a girl, but we are SO excited.

The picture on the left is from the day we brought him home from the hospital. The picture on the right is from Monday. I still can't believe how much he has grown and changed. Love him.

Do you guys Instagram? If you do and you want to follow my username is baije1. Fair warning though, it is mostly flooded with pictures of my little man!
I saw this quote and I just love it. Brigham Young is one of the early leaders of my church. I am not positive if this is the original source but it's all I could find.

I am currently planning a wedding luncheon and looking for inspiration for centerpieces this week. I love this one! I couldn't find the original source for this one either! (rough day?) so if anyone knows it, let me know! I am just trying to figure out now, how do I get these wood slabs? Cut them off a tree myself? Not sure if that is legal...

Right now I am at Bear Lake with my family enjoying life. The weekend has been filled with rest and relaxation, raspberry shakes, game playing, long walks on the beach (ha!) and great movies like Wayne's World, Baby Mama and Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

Have a super great weekend everyone!
