Mother's Day Gift Ideas

Need a few gift ideas for Mother's day? Here are a few budget friendly (but still sweet) ideas if you are in a pinch for time and are planning on buying mother's day gifts this year.

Jessica's Ideas:

1) I l-o-v-e this cupcake book. Every single recipe is good. I kid you not. Thank you Martha. Thank you. There have been so many times I have wanted to post recipes from this book on the blog and I can't... so now I'm posting the whole book haha.
I also think it would be a cute idea to make some mothers day themed cupcakes and bring them with the book. If you have extra cash you could even throw in some cute cup cake liners or tie some sprinkles to your wrapped package. Oh, and if your mom's not into cupcakes Martha also has these ones for Pies and Tarts or  Cookies! I haven't tried these ones, but I'm sure they're good.

2) I wouldn't be Jessica if I didn't recommend gifting a book. I don't know if you all know this about me or not, but reading is my favorite hobby. I love, love, love it. One of my financial dreams is to have a library room in my house. Mmmm.. Anyway, I know most readers have already read this book, but if your momma reads and hasn't read this one, your gift search is over.
Any other great read would work as well! You could also make a cute bookmark to put in it, maybe with one of the mother's day quotes I shared in this post??

3) I love how this little pedicure set comes with flip flops.. So cute. How much would your mom love it if you got this set, along with one of her favorite polishes, and gave her a foot massage/pedicure for Mother's day?! My mom LOVES pedicures, but they can be a little pricey. This is a sweet alternative, and your mom will appreciate the act of service.
4) Or, what about a pretty pot? You could also pot some flowers in it so it's all ready to put on the porch!

Sarah's Ideas:
1) Ice pop molds and a recipe book to go with it! It's something most people wouldn't think to get but I'm sure any mom (or human being) would love it! I have been personally longing to create my own pops for a really long time! An even more affordable option would be to get the molds and then compile a book of recipes yourself, although more time consuming, it could be more personalized i.e. all chocolate recipes for the chocoholic.

2) Baker's Edge Brownie Pan. I have mentioned this before and you can expect me to mention it again and again. I love this thing! If your mom likes edges best, this is the gift that keeps on giving. It doesn't have the tiny price tag like most of our other ideas do but it's amazing so I couldn't leave it out. If you are on a small budget and you really want to give this to your mom maybe you can go in on it with a sibling or two? She'll love it.

3) Music is always a great gift. Carrie's album will be released May 1!

If you don't love any of these ideas, we hope they at least helped to get your creative juices flowing! Good luck! :)

  1. AHHH!!! I totally forgot that Mother's Day is coming up! Thanks for the reminder... my mom is hard to buy for (aka a little weird) but she might actually like the popsicle molds...
