We looked forward to it for a week. On the big day we packed up our blankets and some toys for Luke and then we swung by the drive thru (McDonalds, since it was a Bryce day :) and went for a picnic at the park. We ate and talked and laughed and played and read books and watched the air show at the park.
It was one of those blissful, idyllic days that you wish was ordinary life but only occur occasionally in reality (which make them more special, I think).
Here are some pictures of our little adventure.

Mom & Luke

Yes I'm posting these pictures even though I wore no make-up. Sorry folks.
Luke finally crashed.
Cool helicopter/plane. Can't remember what it's called, haha.
It was such a good reminder for me that you don't have to spend a ton of money to have a wonderful time and make awesome memories. Check out what is going on in your local area for free, or take advantage of springtime and go for a hike/bike ride/swim/walk/picnic etc. I know we will be!

Yay! Ten Dollar Dates! That airshow looks fun. When I was little me & my fam used to go have picnics at this place by the SLC Airport and watch planes take off. It was so simple but I always remember it. I love you without makeup btw.
