Why is it so easy to lose sight of the things in this life that have real value? Value as defined on dictionary.com is things of "relative worth, merit or importance." After I read this quote I found myself pondering how much time I spend worrying about material things and neglecting the things of real import in my life.
Next time I am feeling like I just need to go out or just wanting to spend money for the sake of buying something, I want to instead try to think of ways that I can strengthen my relationship with God or show my husband how much I love him. Rather than mooning over material things I want to be a person who works to protect the things of real value in my life.
